Economists about and for our future

Abstract

In the past few months we have frequently heard that the change of the political system was spoilt, we were driven into crisis and lost our way. This is why the Presidency of the Hungarian Economic Association has decided that – as the most prestigious organisation of the economics profession – the economic situation should be assessed and a suitable solution should be recommended for the most imminent problems. The Economic Association has scheduled six meetings, the first of which, on 20 February, explored the reasons for the evolvement of the present situation.
