Hol és hová tart a makroökonómiai modellezés? = To which direction is macroeconomic modelling heading?

Abstract

A közgazdaságtan és ezen belül a makroökonóma megújítása már tíz éve napirenden van. Ennek ellenére még mindig nincs egyetértés a közgazdászok között abban, hogy milyen mértékű fordulatra van szükség és, hogy ez egyáltalán elkezdődött-e már. Írásomban – elsősorban az Oxford Review of Economic Policy „Rebuilding Macroeconomic Theory” címet viselő kötetének tanulmányaira támaszkodva – kísérletet teszek annak rövid összefoglalására, hogy hol tart ma ez a vita, és milyen változásokat okozhat a makroökonómiai modellezés terén, különös tekintettel a válság előtti mainstream közgazdaságtan összes tévedését megtestesítő DSGE-modellekre. = The rebuilding of the economics, especially macroeconomics, has been on the top of the agenda for 10 years. Yet there is still no agreement among economists on the extent of the necessary change, nor even whether it has started. Relying primarily on the articles of the spring-summer 2018 volume of the Oxford Review of Economic Policy bearing the title ‘Rebuilding Macroeconomic Theory’, I attempt to summarize where this debate stands, and what changes can be expected in macroeconomic modelling. Regarding the latter, the primary focus is on DSGE models, often considered as a prime example of the mistakes made by pre-crisis mainstream macroeconomics.
