Abstract

Az amerikai Pew Research Center közvélemény-kutató intézet 2023-as felmérésébe bevont 23 ország lakosságának túlnyomó többsége továbbra is úgy véli, az Egyesült Államok gyakran beavatkozik más államok belügyeibe, ugyanakkor a megkérdezettek több mint fele szerint Washington globális tevékenysége hozzájárult a nemzetközi béke és stabilitás fenntartásához is. A nemzetközi közvélemény igencsak megosztott abban a kérdésben, hogy Amerika figyelembe veszi-e más országok nemzeti érdekeit a külpolitikai döntései során: 49 százalék igennel, 50 százalék pedig nemmel felelt. A válaszadók 54 százaléka bízik a Biden-kormányzatban, 39 százalékuknak viszont nincs bizalma a washingtoni politikai vezetésben. Az Egyesült Államok megítélése enyhén pozitív képet mutat: közel kétszer annyian vélekednek kedvezően az ország egészéről, mint negatívan. Lengyelországban a legmagasabb, Magyarországon pedig a legalacsonyabb az USA népszerűsége. Az amerikai gazdaság kedvező megítélése sok országban megnőtt, és a többség az Egyesült Államokat nevezte a világ vezető gazdasági hatalmának, de számos európai országban és Ausztráliában Kínát tekintik a világgazdaság vezető erejének. Based on the 2023 global public opinion poll of the Pew Research Center, the overwhelming majority (82%) of the international public continued to believe that the United States often meddles in the internal affairs of other countries, however, the majority (61%) also believes that Washington’s global role contributed to the upholding of international peace and stability. The international public is divided on the question whether Washington considers (49%) or not (50%) the national interests of other countries during its foreign policy decision-making. On average, 54% of respondents trusted the Biden Administration, while 39% replied that they do not trust the American political leadership. The reputation of the United States showed a slightly favorable image: 59% had a positive opinion, and only 30% had negative feelings toward the country. The U.S. was the most popular in Poland (93%), and the least popular in Hungary (44%) among the 23 participating countries. The positive opinion about the American economy strengthened in many countries, and more respondents called the United States the world’s leading economic power, than China, however, in several European states and in Australia people regarded the Far Eastern country the leader of the world economy.
